May 2021

The Foundation held a public information session on May 11, 2021. The presentation from that session can be accessed here.

July 2021

The city planning application is live on the City of Toronto's website. It can be viewed here.

October 2021

City of Toronto Community Consultation Meeting - October 26th 2021. Details can be found here

June 2022

The zoning by-law amendment was approved by Scarborough Community Council on June 30th 2022.

The same Zoning by-law was approved by Toronto City Council in August 2022.

End of 2023

A shoring permit was issued which allows excavation work to begin on site.

February 2024

Ground breaking ceremony with Councillor Janet McKelvie, Mayor Olivia Chow, Board Treasurer Eric Cohen and MP Gary Anandasangaree.

April 2024

Digging the foundation begins.

June 2024

Excavation for the building's foundation is almost complete.

Construction begins on the bicycle area bump out.

June 2025

Construction of the underground parking garage is nearing completion.

December 2025

Structural permit has been issued for the 2nd building of 117 units for seniors.

Applications for these units will be accepted in early 2027.

May 2026

A "Topping Off" ceremony was held in May 2026 to mark the completion of the structural frame of the first of the two buildings currently under construction at 25 Sewells Road.

Spring 2027

Occupancy of the first 201 unit Building A is expected in early 2027.
